- What is aperture, shutter speed and ISO: Aperture is the area that controls the brightness of your life. Your shutter speed is controlling the duration of the expose from the camera. The ISO is controlling the sensitivity of your camera given how much light it has.
- When would you need to change your ISO: You would need to change the ISO depending how you take the picture with low image noise or high image noise.
- What is aperture and shutter priority settings: An aperture’s setting refers to the F stop meaning controls the area over which light can pass through your lenses. The same could go for shutter speed as it relies on light and speed.
- What are AF modes and how do you change them: AF mode comes in three types, One shot, servo, and focus. The way to change them is by the button either on the top of your camera or lens depending on the brand to switch.
- Why do you need to meter the light to get the right exposure: You need to meter the light so it can measure how the light and accurate exposure should be.
- What is white balance and why would you need to change it: White balance is adjusting images to make white objects look white in its final take which gives you the part to manipulate your photo.
- What is depth of field and what is the difference between shallow and good: Depth and field is how sharp the photo is when the lens is focused whether it is in front or behind. The difference between shallow and good is shallow is when you take pictures that look portrait that the background is blurred and small white good has the larger area of focus.
- What are drive modes: Drive modes are shooting modes in your camera where you have many options to shoot and how you shoot.
- What is exposure compensation: Exposure compensation helps you to override exposure adjustments in inaccurate photos with uneven light, or wrong exposure.
- What is considered a normal focal length lenses: Normal focal length lenses would be about 35mm to 50mm which is the average.
- What is a good focal length zoom lens to use: Good focal length zoom lenses would be 70mm to about 200mm which can create dramatic backgrounds.
- What is the difference between a wide angle and telephoto fixed lens: These relate to the Depth of field meaning a wide angle would blur the background as well and a telephoto is the smaller depth field.
